KITCHENS

FIXING YOUR KITCHEN

The Kitchen & Bathroom Doctor makes kitchen renovations and remodels quick and easy. With a team of four, we can do a complete kitchen rip out and remodel in around two weeks. We organise all necessary trades for each step of the remodel, from tiling to plumbing and electrical work.

The first step is organising a free in-home consultation and quote. Call us up, and we’ll come to inspect your kitchen and design an installation that matches your budget and vision. As custom cabinet builders, we’re capable of creating designs you can’t buy at the local hardware store—all entirely customised to fit your kitchen.

In your kitchen, we use trusted materials from the brands we love, including:

  • Blum
  • Caesarstone
  • Quantum Quartz
  • Polytec
  • Laminex
  • Euroform

Turn to The Kitchen & Bathroom Doctor for new kitchen cabinetry, stone benchtops, glass splashbacks and more.

Before we make any changes to your kitchen, we show you a full-colour 3D layout, allowing you to visualise the designs before we start the job. Our 3D software includes everything from the cabinetry to the tiling, flooring and sinks. You’ll have a glimpse of what your newly made kitchen will look like, custom furniture and all.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Planning a kitchen remodel is new territory for many of our clients. For some extra background, we’ve gathered our most commonly questions and answered them below. If you still have questions, get in touch with us directly and we’ll sort you out!

  • How can I make my kitchen more functional?

Bench space and adequate storage are the main aspects of a functional kitchen. By improving either of these things, you can get a more practical design without having to make a lot of drastic changes.

  • Will a kitchen renovation improve my property value?

That depends. If you make choices geared towards keeping costs low and quality high, you can walk away with a higher property value. However, not all your preferred design elements will work in this type of plan. Kitchen renovations can improve the property value, but that’s mostly up to you, your material and appliance choices.

  • Do I need local council approval on a kitchen renovation project?

You won’t need council approval for a kitchen remodel or renovation, even if you’re redoing the entire thing. Renovations do not count as construction in this situation.

  • Should I get involved with the renovation?

If you have relevant construction experience, you might be able to jump in and help with certain parts of the project to lower the budget. However, there’s not a lot that you can do without the relevant work experience. If budget is your concern, there are other choices you can make to lower the price, like using cheaper fixtures.

  • Should I renovate for my tastes or future buyers?

You should only consider future buyers if you’re actively planning to sell your home within a few years. If selling isn’t in your plans for another 5 – 10 years, you should renovate based on your ideal kitchen design. After that amount of time, most buyers are likely to redo the kitchen following their purchase.
